Day 1: Arrival And Transfer To Darjeeling
On arrival at New Jalpaiguri Railway Station or Bagdogra Airport you will be received by our office executive who will assist you to board your vehicle to Darjeeling. Upon arrival proceed for check in at hotel. Evening is free for leisure. Overnight stay at Darjeeling.
Day 2: Darjeeling Sightseeing
Early morning excursion to Tiger Hill at around 3:45 am for viewing sunrise over Kanchendzonga Peak (if the weather is favorable), also visit Ghum Monastery, Peace Memorial and Batasia Loop. After breakfast at the hotel you will depart for a half day city tour of Darjeeling. This includes sightseeing at Padmaja Naidu Himalayan Zoological Park, Himalayan Mountaineering Institute (closed on Thursday), Ropeway, Tenzing and Gombu Rock, Tibetan Refugee Self-Help Center (closed on Sunday), Tea Estate, Natural History Museum (closed on Sunday) and Peace Pagoda. Overnight stay in Darjeeling.
Day 3: Mirik Excursion
After breakfast at hotel, you head towards Mirik via Pashupati Nagar, Indo-Nepal Border (Extra vehicle charges will be applicable for Nepal Border to Pasupati Market) for shopping and recreation. Mirik a small sleepy town built around the 1.25 kilometer long man made Sumendu Lake. The pristine lake is surrounded by high forested hills, tea gardens, orange orchards and cardamom plantations. Horse riding and boat is available around the lake on direct payment basis. Return to Darjeeling in the evening and overnight stay at hotel.
Day 4: Darjeeling Or Kalimpong
After breakfast at hotel you will depart to Kalimpong. On arrival you will proceed for check in at hotel. After that you will be taken for sightseeing of the town which includes, tour of Forest Museum (closed on Thursday), Deolo Hill, Dr. Grahams Homes School, Hanuman Mandir, Durpin Monastery, Pine View Nursery (cactus only). Overnight stay in Kalimpong.
Day 5: Kalimpong To Gangtok
After breakfast at hotel you will be transferred to Gangtok. After checking in at hotel, proceed for half day local sightseeing of Gangtok. This includes Directorate of Handicrafts and Handlooms, Research Institute of Tibetology, Dro-drul Chorten, Flower Show, Enchey Monastery, White Hall and Rumtek Monastery. Overnight stay in Gangtok.
Day 6: Excursion To Tshangu Lake And Baba Mandir
After breakfast start for excursion to Tsongmo Lake and through Kyongnosla Alpine Sanctuary and Baba Mandir. No entry for foreigner national, they are allowed to visit tillTsongmo Lake, with a valid permit. They also have to be 02 and above in number to visit Tsongmo Lake. The cool water of the Lake is perfectly attuned with the scenic beauty around. Back to Gangtok and Overnight at hotel. (Incase of Landslide or due to any other reasons if Tshangu Lake is closed then an alternate sightseeing will be provided). Optional tour to Nathula and Baba Mandir. One can opt for Nathula excursion by paying a supplement cost which varies from month to month. Nathula permit gets confirmed 24 hrs prior to the journey date and it is subjected to permit availability as it is allotted as per lottery. Nathula is closed on Monday and Tuesday for tourist. Organizing the permit at the last moment is not possible and a clear window of 72 Hrs with proper documents is required to process the permit.
Day 7: Departure
After breakfast at hotel transfer to New Jalpaiguri Railway Station or Bagdogra Airport for your onward journey.
