About the tour
Darjeeling Himalayan Railway is the town's other claim to global fame. Connecting the town with the plains, it was declared a World Heritage Site in 1999 and is one of the few steam engines still in service in India.Gangtok is one of the more popular hill destinations in India's northeast region. Most travelers visit Gangtok with the idea of catching a glimpse of the spectacular Kanchenjunga, the third highest peak in the world.

Day-wise Itinerary
ExpandDay 01 : Arrival At Bagdodra To Gangtok
Meet & Greet on arrival at New Jalpaiguri railway station / IXB airport and transfer to Gangtok – “The Capital City of Sikkim”. On arrival check-in to your hotel and rest of the day at leisure. Overnight stay will be at Gangtok.
Day 02 : Sightseeing Tour Of Gangtok
Start for a half day excursion trip of Tsomgo Lake (12,400 feet) and Baba Harbhajan Singh Memorial (13200 feet) 52 kms from Gangtok city. Tsomgo Lake freezes completely during the winter and is much revered by the locals. Overnight stay will be at Gangtok.
Day 03 : Gangtok To Lachung
After breakfast pick up at 0900 A.M from hotel at Gangtok and drive to Lachung (altitude 8610 feet). Enroute visit Singhik View point, Seven Sisters Water Falls, (Lunch at Namak), Naga Water Falls, (Tea break at Chungthang) Arrive Lachung in the evening. Dinner and overnight stay will be at Lachung.
Day 04 : Sightseeing Tour Of Lachung
Early Morning drive 24 km to Yumthang-valley (known as Valley of Flowers); Yumthang is the summer grazing ground of the Yaks & winter playgrounds of Yetis. On your way back visit Hot Spring considered to have medicinal properties. Back to resort for lunch. Afternoon can be spent interacting with the local people and their day-to-day activities and lifestyle. Overnight stay will be at Lachung.
Day 05 : Lachung To Gangtok
After breakfast (at 8.00 AM) take the transfer to Gangtok Enroute witness the Beautification of the wonderful Bheema and Twin Falls. On arrival at Gangtok check-in to your hotel. Overnight stay will be at Gangtok.
Day 06 : Gangtok To Pelling
This morning start for a half day city tour of Gangtok covering Rumtek Monastery, Botanical Garden, Dro-Dul Chorten, Institute of Tibetology, Flower show and Handicraft Centre. After noon proceed to Pelling (6800 ft.). On arrival check-in to your hotel. Overnight stay will be at Pelling.
Day 07 : Sightseeing Tour Of Pelling
After breakfast start for local sightseeing tour covering Rimbi Falls, Khangchendzonga falls, Khachoedpalri Wish Lake, Back to hotel for lunch. After lunch visit Pemayangtse Monastery, Rabdantse Ruins, Rabdantse View Point, Helipad Ground. Overnight stay will be at Pelling.
Day 08 : Pelling To Darjeeling
This morning drive to Darjeeling (7,100 ft.) is one of the most magnificent Hill Resorts in the World. On arrival check-in to your hotel & rest of the day at leisure. Overnight stay will be at Darjeeling.
Day 09 : Sightseeing Tour Of Darjeeling
Early Morning (at 4.00 am) drive to Tiger Hill to watch the spectacular Sunrise over Mt. Khangchendzonga (28,208 ft. Worlds third highest peak), on your way back visit Ghoom Monastery, Batasia Loop. After breakfast visit Himalayan Mountaineering Institute, Padmaja Naidu Himalayan Zoological Park (closed on Thursday) Tenzing Rock, Tibetan Refugee Self-help Centre (closed on Sunday), Tea Garden (outer view), Ava Art Gallery and Japanese Temple. Evening free (walking tour of mall – suggested). Overnight stay will be at Darjeeling.
Day 10 : Departure From Bagdodra
Morning free for packing and personal activities. Check out from hotel in time and take the departure transfer to New Jalpaiguri railway station / IXB airport for your onward journey.
