Day 1: Arrival At Bagdogr Airport /new Jalpaiguri Railway Station
Arrival at airport and transfer to Gangtok situated in Sikkim is overlooked by Himalayan Ranges, Gangtok is a beautiful City. Buddhism is a major religion in this area. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 2: Sightseeing To Rumtek, Do-drul Chorten And Ichhey Monastery
A drive through beautiful countryside takes one to Rumtek Dharma Chakra centre, originally built under the directions of the 12th Karmapa Changchub Dorjee in mid 1700 AD, rebuilt in 1960'S by his holiness the late 16th Gyalwa Karmapa when he took refuge in Sikkim after the Chinese attack. It houses some of the worlds most unique art objects, ancient manuscripts and icons. After visit Enchey and Dodrul Chorten Monastery. Overnight stay at hotel.
Day 3: Excursion To Holy Tsongmo Lake
After a warm breakfast at the hotel and proceed for a full day excursion to Changu Lake which is 35 kms from Gangtok at an altitude of 12,400 feet. The lake derives its waters from melting snows off the surrounding mountains. Legends say that lamas could forecast the future by studying the color of the lake’s waters. Also visit Baba Mandir and come back to Gangtok. Overnight stay at Gangtok.
Day 4: Transfer To Ravangla
Early morning transfer to Ravangla. On arrival check into your hotel. After transfer 13 kms way from Ravangla are the two Monasteries at Ralang which follow the Kagyupa sect of Buddhism. The Old monastery was built in 1768 AD and legend has it that the 9th Karmapa, head of the Kagyupa sect, gave his blessings by throwing some grains of rice from Tibet. The monastery built on the site where these grains of rice fell. " Pang Lhabsol " the worship of Mount Khangchendzonga and " Kagyed " Chaam (masked dances) are held every year on the 15th day of the seventh month of the Buddhist calendar coinciding with August/September and on the 29th day of the tenth month just before Losoong - the Sikkimese New Year in December.Evening visit Budhapark and enjoy the light show with complete peace and silence. Overnight stay at Ravangla.
Day 5: Drive To Pelling And Visit Pemayangtse Monastery
Early morning transfer to Pelling.On arrival check into your hotel , after visit Pemayangtse Monastery(Designed and founded by Lama Lhatsun Chempo in 1705, it is one of the oldest and premier monasteries of Sikkim), Rabadantse ruins, Tikjuk view point. Overnight stay at Pelling.
Day 6: Visit To Holy Khechuperi Lake
After breakfast drive to Khechepalri lake, originally known as Kha-Chot-Palri (meaning the heaven of Padmasambhava), is a sacred Lake for both Buddhists and Hindus, which is believed to be a wish fulfilling lake. It is located near Khecheopalri village. On the way you will visit Rimbi waterfall, Rock Garden, Kanchenjunga water fall etc.
Day 7: Pelling To New Jalpaiguri Railway Station / Bagdogra Airport
After having a hearty breakfast at hotel, drive back to airport/railway station for onward journey.
