About the tour
The journey ahead is into the land of frozen rivers and chilled waterfalls. Its a high altitude desert, hardly any vegetation and very stony and dusty. You have to make your own roads here and its very easy to get lost. Because it is a plateau, it is very cold as chilled winds come down the frozen mountain slopes. Don't exert much as you would be gasping for breath at this altitude.

Day-wise Itinerary
ExpandDay 01: New Jalpaiguri Station / Bagdogra Airport - Darjeeling (About 90 Kms / 3 Hrs)--
Meet & Greet on arrival at New Jalpaiguri Station / Bagdogra Airport & transfer to Darjeeling is one of the most magnificent hill resorts in the world. Evening free to explore this Hill Queen. Overnight Halt at Darjeeling.
Day 02: Darjeeling --
Early Morning at 04.00 AM visit Tiger Hill famous for sunrise over Mt. Kanchendzonga, on way back visit Ghoom Monastery, Batasia Loop and back to hotel. After breakfast visit Himalayan Mountaineering Institute, PNZ Zoological Park (closed on Thursday) Tenzing Rock, Tibetan Refuge Centre (closed on Sunday), Tea Garden (outer view), and back to hotel for lunch. Overnight Halt at Darjeeling.
Day 03: Darjeeling - Gangtok (About 115kms/ 4 Hrs): --
Morning Transfer to Gangtok via Peshok Tea Gardens along the river Teesta. Overnight stay in the Hotel in Gangtok.
Day 04: Gangtok — (08 A.m. To 01 P.m.): --
After breakfast start half day city tour of Gangtok covering Ranka Monastery, Ban Jakri Falls, , Do Drul Chorten, Institute of Tibetology, Flower show and cottage industry. Evening free for personal activities & shopping. Overnight stay in the hotel in Gangtok.
Day 05: Gangtok--
After breakfast excursion trip to Tsomgo Lake & Baba Mandir. Overnight stay in the Hotel in Gangtok.
Day 06: Gangtok - Lachung (About 125 Kms / 6 Hrs)--
After breakfast drive to Lachung (altitude 8800 ft) for about 6 hours. Enroute visit Singhik View point, Seven Sisters Water Falls, Naga Water Falls. Stop on way for lunch. Reach Lachung by evening. Dinner at hotel. Overnight halt at Lachung hotel.
Day 07: Lachung -yumthang Excursion (24 Km. & 11,800 Ft): --
Early Morning drive to Yumthang - Valley (known as Valley of Flowers), Yumthang is the summer grazing ground of the Yaks & winter playgrounds of Yetis. On the way back visit Hot Spring considered to have medicinal properties. Back to resort for lunch. Spent afternoon interacting with the local people taking the idea of their simple lifestyle. Overnight at hotel at Lachung.
Day 08: Lachung - Gangtok (About 125kms/6 Hrs) --
After breakfast departure for the Gangtok enroute witness the Beautification of the wonderful Bheema & Twin Falls. On arrival at check-in to your hotel. Overnight at hotel in Gangtok.
Day 09: Gangtok-pelling (About 125 Kms / 5 Hrs): --
Transfer to Pelling. One can enjoy the spectacular Eastern Himalayan Range from Pelling. Overnight Halt at Pelling.
Day 10: Pelling --
After breakfast start for full day sight seeing which includes Pemayangtse Monastery, Rimbi Falls, and Kanchenjunga falls, Khecheopalri Lake. Overnight Halt at Pelling.
Day 11: Pelling - New Jalpaiguri Station / Bagdogra Airport (About 145 Kms /5 Hrs): --
After breakfast transfer to New Jalpaiguri Station or Bagdogra Airport for return journey with sweet memories of Tibet Tours and Travels.
