About the tour
The Guwahati City is a major center for cultural activities and sporting events, as well as a center for administrative and political activities of Assam, and important regional hub for transportation. Shillong was the capital of Assam, but after the state was split as Assam and Meghalaya meaning 'The abode of the clouds', it became the first capital of the newly formed State of Meghalaya . Located in undulating pine covered hills, the city has a milder climate than tropical India.

Day-wise Itinerary
ExpandDay 1: Guwahati To Shillong
Arrive Guwahati and transfer to Shillong. Check into the hotel on arrival. Evening at leisure. Overnight stay at hotel.
Day 2: Excursion To Cherapunjee And Back To Shillong
Early morning drive to Cherapunjee. En route visit Shillong Peak and Elephant Falls. On arrival visit Nohkalikai Falls, Mawsmai cave and Ramakrishna Mission. Return to Shillong in the evening. Overnight stay at hotel.
Day 3: Shillong To Guwahati
After breakfast transfer to Guwahati. En-route visit Cathedral Church, Ward’s Lake, Lady Hydari Park. Arrive Guwahati and transfer to hotel. Afternoon proceed for Guwahati half day sightseeing, visit the Kamakhya Temple. Overnight stay at hotel.
Day 4: Departure From Guwahati
After breakfast, transfer to Guwahati airport for onward destination - Tour ends.
