About the tour
The temple of Mata Vaishno Devi is located in the Trikuta Mountains in the state of Jammu and Kashmir. One of the most revered places of worship in India, the shrine is near Katra. It has been stated that yatris in huge numbers visit the place of worship every year. Day-wise Itinerary
ExpandDay 1: Jammu – Katra (2 Hrs)
Arrival either at Jammu airport / railway station transfer to Katra, drive of 2 Hrs. Check in Hotel. Overnight stay at Katra.
Day 2: Katra To Mata Vaishno Devi-katra
Early Morning after Breakfast leave for Mata Vaishnodevi Shrine located on Trikuta Hills, approach to Shrine by Foot / Pony / Helicopter (Charges Extra paid directly) back to Hotel by afternoon. Rest in Evening or free time at leisure. Overnight stay at Katra
Day 3: Katra To Shivkhori - Katra
Early Morning after Breakfast go for excursion to Shivkhori temple(cave of lord Shiva) which is around 70 kms and takes 3 hours each way to reach. En route visit two holy spots; Aghar Jitto (6 kms from Katra) shrine of revolutionary Baba Jitto and shrine of 9 deviyan (10 kms from Katra). On reaching Shivkhori you will be dropped at the starting point of the yatra to the shivling which is around 4 kms steep walk. After Darshan return back to the starting point and transfer to hotel at Katra.
Day 4: Katra – Patnitop
After Breakfast check out from hotel and drive to Patnitop which is around 80 kms. On arrival check in at hotel At Patnitop you can visit Nag temple and Padora Enclave. You can also hire a pony to take a trip through the pine trees. Later return to hotel for overnight stay.
Day 5: Patnitop - Jammu
After Breakfast check out from hotel and drive to back to jammu railway station or airport for departure.
