• Welcome at Bangalore airport/railway station & proceed to Mysore, the city of palaces. The city was earlier the capital of the Wodeyar rulers. The Wodeyar rulers were great patrons of art and culture, which you can see in the rich heritage of the city. The city is also known for sandalwood products and the Dasara festival (Navaratri) held every year.
• Upon arrival check in at hotel.
• Later proceed to visit the Mysore Palace, an excellent combination of Dravidian, Indo-Saracenic, Oriental and Roman styles of architecture. The Maharaja's Palace is a beautiful three storied stone building of fine gray granite and rich pink marble domes, overlooking this structure is a five-storied 145 foot tower whose domes are gilded in gold. There are twelve temples inside the Palace complex dating from the fourteenth to the twentieth centuries and have varying architectural styles. The Palace is set in a carefully laid out gardens.
• Mysuru Zoo was started by chamaraja Wodeyar X initially as a private Zoo. The Zoo has about 1500 animals, ranging from the opossum to orangutan. This Zoo houses a wide range of animals. Mysuru Zoo was the first in the country to obtain gorilla and penguin’s.
• Evening proceed to visit the Brindavan Garden. The Brindavan Gardens are located just a level below the KRS dam, often described as the best example of illuminated terrace gardens in the country. The overall design here displays an orientation of Mughal patterns-with garden paths and a shimmering necklace of fountains. Adding a touch of sanctity to the place is a beautiful sculpture of Goddess Cauvery at the foot of the dam.

• Secondly visit Chamundi Hills, 3,489ft. above the sea levels visible almost from anywhere in the city center. The oldest temple in Mysore, The Chamundeshwari Temple is located on the top of Chamundi Hills.
• Big Bull - About 16 feet in height and 24 feet long, this Nandi atop the Chamundi Hills is the third largest in India, carved in granite, black because of regular anointing with oil and other sacred waters.
• St. Philomena's Church in Mysore is one of the oldest churches in India. It is over 200 years old. The twin towers of the church stand majestically at 175 feet, the design is gothic and it is said to resemble the St. Patrick’s cathedral at New York and a church at Cologne.
• Jaganmohan Palace is a art gallery. Built during rule of Krishnaraja Wodeyar III in 1861 to celebrate the marriage of his daughter.

• On arrival check in at hotel.
• Later proceed for sightseeing covering the Pookode Lake for Boating. The beautiful freshwater lake is said to be shaped like India’s map, nestled between evergreen forest & Western Ghats. You can sight blue lotus, blue water lilies & numerous fresh water fishes. Pethia Pookodensis is a species of cyprind fish, which is said to be found only here. An ideal place for phographers & natue lovers.
• Secondly visit Soochippara waterfalls also known as Sentinel Rock Waterfalls which is a three-tiered waterfall surrounded by Evergreen & Montane forests. This waterfall is 200 metres & offers a cliff face that is ideal for rock climbing.
• Another attraction here is the Banasura Sagar Dam which is reckoned as the largest earth dam in India & the second largest of its kind in Asia. The dam is made up of massive stacks of stones & boulders. During monsoon small islands can be seen in the dam’s reservoir. The vast expanse of the crystal clear water of the dam dotted with small islands is a photographer’s delight.
• Later visit Pazhassi Raja Tomb- the memorial of Veera Pazhassi Raja & Pazhassi Raja museum. The museum has a limited display of local artefacts. One item that takes up a lot of attention is the sword of Pazhassi Raja.
• Kuruva Island is protected river delta, comprising a cluster of islands over the middle of Kabini River. This island is densely populated with rich flora & fauna. Dwelling deep into this island, you can sight attractive bridges made up of bamboo trees & other rare species of trees.

• After Breakfast, proceed for sightseeing visiting the Muthanga Wildlife Sanctuary spread over an area of 345 sq km, an abode of rich flora & fauna. Muthanga is blessed with varieties of trees & other plants. You can also sight Maruthi, Karimaruthi, Rosewood, Venteak, Vengal etc. The sanctuary is also blessed with its endless population of birds like Babblers, Jungle fowls & wild animals.
• Secondly visit Sultan Bathery & caves of Wayanad, situated about 930 metres above sea leavel, Sultan Bathery is famous for its Jain Temple.
• Edakkal Caves-literally means a stone in between. The caves are famous for its pictorial paintings (cave paintings) which are considered to be of 6000 BC. You can sight carvings of human, animal figures & objects used by humans, on the walls of the caves. These carvings give great evidence for a highly civilized society who lived in the pre-historic age. Edakkal caves have drawn great attention of archeologists & historians worldwide.
• The Phantom Rock is a beautiful archeological site known for its skull shaped rock, which is unique in its own way. This piece of natural art which has a skull shaped rock over a small boulder is formed out of huge metamorphic rocks.
• Ambalavayal Heritage Museum. The museum has the largest collections of the remnants of an era dating back to the 2nd Century. These are evidences of an advanced civilization that existed in the mountains of Wayanad.
