Day-wise Itinerary
ExpandDay 1: Arrival At Bagdogra/new Jalpaiguri And Transfers To Darjeeling
On arrival, you will meet a representative who will transfer you to your hotel in Darjeeling. On reaching, check into your hotel, unpack and relax. Evening is leisure ,you roam around Mall (city center).Retire comfortably for the night at the hotel in Darjeeling.
Day 2: Explore Darjeeling
Early morning visit Tiger Hill to see a beautiful sunrise and capture the breathtaking sight of Kanchenjunga and Mount Everest etc. One can see the horizon changing colors just before sunrise and then the entire Himalayan range turns golden. Also visit Choom Monastery, the oldest monastery in the area which was built in 1875.Have a sumptuous breakfast at the hotel and proceed for city tour visiting Himalayan Mountaineering Institute (closed on Thursday) which was started by Tenzing Norgay after he climbed Mount Everest. Also visit Zoological Park (closed on Thursday), Tibetan Refugee Centre (closed on Sunday), Tenzing Rock, Gombu Rock and Happy Valley Tea Estate (from outside).Retire comfortably for the night at the hotel in Darjeeling.
Day 3: Transfer Darjeeling To Lamahatta
After breakfast transfer to Lamahatta through beautiful Senchal wild life sanctuary. Lamahatta is a model Himalayan village with rich natural beauty. Afternoon enjoy the nature walk through beautiful forest trail and explore the beautiful lamahatta hiding lake. Retire comfortably for the night at the beautifully located hotel at Lamahatta.
Day 4: Trekking And Explore Lamahatta
Morning with spectacular sunrise from your hotel with magnificent view of Mount Kanchenjunga.Post breakfast visit 200years old village monastery, Tea gardens, Teesta and Rangeet valley,local Himalayan villages by a adventurous sort trekking through dense pine forest ( 2-3hrs). Evening enjoy the Camp-fire, and retire comfortably for the night stay at Lamahatta.
Day 5: Teesta River Rafting
Post breakfast transfer to Teesta River rafting site ,enjoy the extreme adventure by rafting in Teesta River.After proceed back to Lamahatta. Evening enjoy the camp fire and rest overnight stay at Lamahatta.
Day 6: Deaparture To New Jalpaiguri Railway Station/bagdogra Airport
Start journey to New Jalpaiguri railway station or Bagdogra airport for onward journey with sweet memories of Darjeeling and unexplored hamlet Lamahatta.
