Day Wise Itinerary

The Himalayan range is home to the planet's highest peaks, including the highest, Mount Everest. The Himalayas include over a hundred mountains exceeding 7,200 meters (23,600 ft) in elevation. The Himalayas have profoundly shaped the cultures of South Asia. Many Himalayan peaks are sacred in both Buddhism and Hinduism. Besides the Greater Himalayas of these high peaks there are parallel lower ranges.

Day 1

Day 1: Arrival At Gangtok

Meet and greet on arrival at New Jalpaiguri railway station or Bagdogra and transfer to Gangtok. Rest of the evening free for own activities. Overnight stay at hotel.
Day 2

Day 2: Excursion To Tsomgo Lake And Baba Mandir

Full day excursion to Tsomgo Lake ( timing will depend on the issuance of Permit ) - situated at a height of 3,780 mts. with an average depth of 50 ft and Baba Mandir - The shrine made in memory of sepoy Harbhajan Singh. Back to Gangtok. Overnight stay at hotel.

Day 3

Day 3: Gangtok To Lachung

After breakfast pick up from hotel at Gangtok and transfer to Lachung ( timing will depend on the issuance of Permit ) via Phodong, Mangan, Singik Chungthang and Maltim. Overnight stay at Lachung.

Day 4: Excursion To Yumthang Valley

Early Morning visit Yumthang Valley ( Famous as Valley of variety of Rhododendron ). Yumthang is the summer grazing ground of the yaks and winter playgrounds of yetis. On the way back visit the Hot Spring considered to have medicinal properties. Back to resort for lunch. Overnight stay at Lachung.

Day 5

Day 5: Lachung To Gangtok

After breakfast leave for Gangtok. On the way stops between singhik, Mangan and if the weather is clear you may get to see the Khangchendzonga Range. This location offers a majestic view of Mt. Pandim, Mt. Kabru, Mt. Simvo, Mt. Jopuno, Mt. Khangchendzonga and Mt. Siniolchu. Visit Phodong Monastery on the way if time permits. Overnight at Gangtok.
