About the tour
Kaziranga National Park lies partly in Golaghat district and partly in Nagaon district of Assam. It is the oldest park in Assam covers an area of 430 Sq kms along the river Brahmaputra on the North and the Karbi Anglong hills on the South. The National highway 37 passes through the park area and tea estates, hemmed by table-top tea bushes. One can even see the rhinos and wild elephants straying near the highway.

Day-wise Itinerary
ExpandDay 1: Arrival At Guwahati And Transfer To Kaziranga
Arrive Guwahati airport and transfer to Kaziranga. Check into hotel. Overnight stay at Kaziranga. This is for your information that elephant ride and jeep safari and forest entry are regulated and controlled by the forest department govt of Assam. As such we do not have any control for booking of elephant seats and entry by jeeps
Day 2: Kaziranga To Shillong
After an early wake up, you will be taken to the riding point for an Elephant Ride. After the ride return back to the hotel. After breakfast jeep safari. Back to hotel check out and drive to Shillong. Check in at hotel. Overnight stay in Shillong.
Day 3: Shillong To Cherrapunjee
After breakfast we trek to single decker living root bridge 3-4 hours from the resort. Distance 4 km down and up 1000 feet approx. This trek starts from the resort premises and goes down hill through village Sohsarat. The steps are relatively steeper in two short stretches. Half the distance is covered by steps going down hill. Then there is a jungle path going along the sides of the hill leading to the Living Root Bridge with a few steps after short stretches of sloping foot path. Moss thrives on these sandstone steps during the monsoon and makes them slippery. Back trek to resort and evening at leisure with local music placed by the local boys. Overnight stay at Cherrapunjee.
Day 4: Cherrapunjee To Mawlynnong And Later Drive Back To Shillong
After breakfast excursion to Mawlynnong. Enroute near Shillong visit Elephant falls, Shillong peak and then proceed to Mwlynnong. Drive back to Shillong for overnight stay. Note: It is advisable to carry packed lunch to Mawlynnong
Day 5: Departure To Guwahati Airport
After breakfast drive to Guwahati airport.
