About the tour
Ladakh is a land like no other. Bounded by two of the world's mightiest mountain ranges, the great Himalayas and the Karakoram, it lies athwart two others, the Ladakh range and the Zanskar range. It is spread over a huge area and has very low density population. Ladakh is a land that bounds in awesome physical features set in an enormous landscape and, therefore, it appears beautifully desolate and remote.

Day-wise Itinerary
ExpandDay 1: Arrival At Leh
Arrival Leh in the morning and transfer to the hotel. Take complete rest for the day for acclimatization to the high altitude of Leh (11,500 feet / 3500 meters). Overnight stay at hotel.
Day 2: Leh Local Sightseeing.
After leisurely breakfast visit Shey Palace, Thiksey Monastery and Stok Palace Museum. Post lunch drive to visit Hall of Fame, Kali Mata (Temple of Guardians in Spituk monastery), Gurudwara Pathar Sahib, Magnetic Point and Sangam (confluence of Indus and Zanskar rivers). Overnight in hotel.
Day 3: Leh To Pangong Lake Later Back To Leh
Full day excursion to Pangong Lake (approx. 300 kms round trip, located on the Indo-China Border), en-route crossing the Chang-la pass (alt: 17370 feet). After sightseeing around the lake, drive back to Leh reaching in the late afternoon / evening. Overnight in hotel.
Day 4: Leh To Khardungla Later Back To Leh
Morning excursion to Khardong-La (80 kms round trip / alt: 18,380 feet), highest motor-able pass in the world and recorded in the Guinness Book of World Records. Rest of the day free to explore the markets for shopping etc. Overnight in hotel.
Day 5: Drop To Leh Airport
Early morning transfer to the airport for taking the flight back home. Tour ends.
