About the tour
The third largest city in the Indian state of Gujarat and known as the ‘colourful city’, Rajkot is also the twenty third largest urban agglomeration in India. The city is located on the banks of the famous Aji River in the Surashtra region. The city is world renowned for its embroidery products most of which are exported to other countries. One can reach the city by air through the Raj Kot international airport which has daily flights from all major metro cities in India.

Day-wise Itinerary
ExpandDay 1: Arrival At Rajkot
Arrive Rajkot. You will be met, assisted and transferred to your hotel. Overnight in Rajkot.
Day 2: Sasan Gir
After breakfast drive to Gir (160 Kms/3hrs). Enroute visit Junagadh, Upperkot Fort, Darbar Hall Museum, Ashoka’s Major Rock, Mujkund Caves and Shree swaminarayan Temple. Further drive to Gir. Overnight in Gir.
Day 3: Sasan Gir
Gir: Proceed for a drive through the park in open-top jeeps in search of Lions. Return to hotel after three hours of jeep safari. Rest for some time and the walk around the river for bird watching. Post lunch (at own) we set off again for the evening safari (Optional). Overnight in Gir.
Day 4: Sasan Gir
Proceed for a morning and evening game drive in open-top jeeps. Overnight in Gir.
Day 5: Departure From Rajkot
Drive to Rajkot (160 kms / 4 hrs approximately). Proceed to the airport to board the flight for your onward destination.
