About the tour
Shillong was the capital of Assam, but after the state was split into Assam and Meghalya it became the first capital of the newly formed State of Meghalaya. The Assam style houses with slanting roofs, large number of windows and wooden floors look like a piece of art. Home to several waterfalls, it is also known as the Scotland of the East.

Day-wise Itinerary
ExpandDay 1: Arrival At Guwahati And Transfer To Kaziranga
Arrive Guwahati airport and transfer to Kaziranga. Check into hotel. Overnight stay at Kaziranga.
Day 2: In Kaziranga National Park
After an early wake up, you will be taken to the riding point for an Elephant ride. After the ride return back to the hotel after having breakfast at leisure. Afternoon enjoy the park on a Jeep. Overnight stay at Kaziranga
Day 3: Kaziranga To Shillong
After breakfast drive to Shillong. Check into hotel. Overnight stay at Shillong.
Day 4: Shillong To Cherrapunjee
After breakfast we trek to Single Decker Living root bridge 3-4 hours from the resort. Distance 4 km down and up 1000 feet approx. This trek starts from the resort premises and goes down hill through village Sohsarat. The steps are relatively steeper in two short stretches. Half the distance is covered by steps going down hill. Then there is a jungle path going along the sides of the hill leading to the Living Root Bridge with a few steps after short stretches of sloping foot path. Moss thrives on these sandstone steps during the monsoon and makes them slippery. Back trek to resort and evening at leisure with local music placed by the local boys. Overnight stay at Cherrapunjee
Day 5: Cherrapunjee To Mwallynong And Later Drive To Shillong
After breakfast excursion to Mwallynong. Enroute near Shillong visit Elephant falls, Shillong peak and then proceed to Mwallynong. Drive back to Shillong for overnight stay. Note: It is advisable to carry packed lunch to Mwallynong
Day 6: Departure To Guwahati Airport
After breakfast drive to Guwahati airport.
