Shimla is bounded by Mandi and Kullu in the north, Kinnaur in the east and Solan and Sirmaur to the south. Shimla is well known as a hub for India's tourism sector as it is among the top 10 preferred entrepreneurial locations in India. In 1864, Shimla was declared as the summer capital of British India and after independence, it became the capital of Himachal Pradesh. Name of Shimla has been derived from the goddess Shyamala Devi, an incarnation of the Hindu Goddess Kali.
Day 1: Arrival At Chandigarh
Reach Chandigarh airport or railways station. Meet and greet our driver and move to Shimla. On the way visit Timber Trail Resort, famous Yadvindra Garden of Pinjore (if time permits). Reach Shimla and check into your hotel.
Day 2: Shimla Sightseeing
Start a full day tour of Shimla city covering the Vice Regal Lodge, Summer Hill, Bird Park, State Museum of Integram Hill. Also cover the prime spots like Kufri and Fagu. Come to Mall road to wander around Ridge Ground, see the monuments like Christ Church and Town Hall. Then visit Kali Bari temple and Lakkar Bazaar. Overnight at hotel.
Day 3: Departure
Travel back to Chandigarh (Optional ) on the way cover Tara Devi Temple. Tour ends.
