About the tour
The capital of the state of Sikkim, Gangtok is an attractive tourist destination, reflecting a unique ambience which derives from its happy blend of tradition and modernity. Alongside the deeply felt presence of stupas and monasteries, Gangtok also bustles like any other thriving town. Some of the key places to visit include Rumtek Monastery, Do-Drul Chorten, Enchey Monastery, Tashi View Point and the local bazaar, Lal Bazaar.

Day-wise Itinerary
ExpandDay 1: Arrival At Gangtok
Arrival at New Jalpaiguri Railway Station / Bagdogra Airport. Transfer to Gangtok (5500 ft /130 kms / 04 hrs) and check in at the hotel. Visit M.G. Marg by walking and evening individual activities. Overnight stay at Gangtok.
Day 2: Tsomgo Lake And Baba Mandir
After breakfast depart for full day excursion trip to Tsomgo Lake (12400 ft) and Baba Harbhajan Singh Mandir which is only 32 km. from Gangtok. The lake is about 1 km long, oval in shape and 15 mtrs deep. The lake is considered sacred by the local people. Spend the evening at Gangtok for shopping and individual activity. Overnight stay at Gangtok. (In case of Land slide or any reason Tsomgo Lake is closed we will provided alternate sightseeing).
Day 3: Gangtok To Lachen
After breakfast pick-up from hotel at 10 AM (9,400 ft, 118 km) and proceed to Lachen (130 Kms / 06 hrs) at an altitude of 9000 ft. On the way stop and enjoy a few wonderful locations like Tashi View Point, Kabi Lungstok, Naga Waterfalls, Seven Sisters Waterfalls, the confluence of Lachen-Chu and Lachung - Chu at Chungthang, Twin Waterfalls and Bhim Nala Waterfalls. Lunch will be served at Namok. You are likely to reach Lachen at late afternoon or in the evening. Check into hotel for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 4: Lachen To Lachung
After breakfast drive towards Chopta Valley and Gurudomgar Lake (17200 ft / 70 kms / 03 hrs). Gurudongmar Lake only Indian National is allowed. It is one of the highest situated lakes in North Sikkim. Remember the altitude here may cause breathing problem. After lunch transfer to Lachung (44 kms/2 hrs). Dinner and overnight at hotel.
Day 5: Lachung To Yumthang And Back To Lachung
Early morning proceed on a day excursion to Yumthang Valley which is known as Valley of Flowers (11800 Ft / 3598 Mts / 25 Kms / 01 ½ hrs one way). On the way visit the Hot Spring and Singba Rhododendron Sanctuary. Overnight at Hotel.
Day 6: Lachung To Gangtok
After breakfast leave for Gangtok. On the way stop between Singhik, Mangan and if the weather is clear you may get to see the Khangchendzonga Range. This location offers a majestic view of Mt. Pandim, Mt. Kabru, Mt. Simvo, Mt. Jopuno, Mt. Khangchendzonga and Mt. Siniolchu. Lunch at Namok on the way. Overnight at Gangtok.
Day 7: Departure
After breakfast, transfer to New Jalpaiguri railway station / Bagdogra airport (125 kms / 05 Hrs) for your onward journey. Guest are advised to start early and not to rush.

Additional sightseeing or extra usage of vehicle, other than mentioned in the itinerary. Entrance fees & guide charges. Any cost arising due to natural calamities like, landslides, road blockage, political disturbances (strikes), etc (to be borne by the client, which is directly payable on the spot). Any increase in taxes or fuel price, leading to increase in cost on surface transportation & land arrangements, which may come into effect prior to departure. Room heater charges. Service tax. Insurance. (the cat holidays recommend to get the travel insurance done through us at a nominal cost when you are going for a vacation to the north east region of india always) Anything which is not included in the inclusion. Difference in cost arising due to change in fuel price (calculation based on petrol inr 70 per liter & diesel inr 58 per liter) Difference in cost arising due to extra usage of vehicle, other than scheduled & mentioned in the itinerary. Difference in cost arising due to change in taxes by the government which will have to be collected directly on arrival.The luxury vehicle (scorpio / xylo) will be provided to the guest for the complete tour. The vehicle changes every day/sector wise and will be on contract as per the itinerary. This vehicle is not on disposal. Also while opting for luxury vehicle please informs the guest to travel light with minimum baggage of one piece per person. In case of excess baggage the guest will have to opt for an extra vehicle for carrying the excess baggage. The cost for this will be collected directly from the guest. Maximum 06 heads (including adult & children) will be allowed in a scorpio / xylo. Maximum 08 heads (including adult & children) are allowed in non ac Tata sumo / similar. Ac of this luxury vehicle will only operate in plain and not in hills. Children above 10+ years will be charged 100% as per Adult Rate (EPSR) Children of 5+ to 10 sharing parent’s room will be charged as per CWB or CNB Children below 5 years Complimentary
