About the tour
Tawang was historically part of Tibet inhabited by the Monpa people. The Tawang Monastery was founded by the Merak Lama Lodre Gyatso in 1681 in accordance with the wishes of the 5th Dalai Lama, Ngawang Lobsang Gyatso and has an interesting legend surrounding its name, which means "Chosen by Horse". The sixth Dalai Lama, Tsangyang Gyatso, was born in Tawang.

Day-wise Itinerary
ExpandDay 1: Arrive Guwahati And Transfer To Nameri National Park.
Arrive Guwahati and transfer to Nameri National Park. Overnight at Eco Camp or hotel.
Day 2: Nameri National Park To Dirang
After breakfast, transfer to Dirang. Enroute visit Orchid Century at Tippy, where more than 500 different species are available. Overnight stay at hotel.
Day 3: Dirang To Tawang
After breakfast, transfer to Tawang. Enroute we cross Sella Pass, the highest Motorable Road in Eastern Himalaya at about 14000ft above the Sea level and Jaswant Garh (China – Indo War Memorial). Overnight stay at hotel.
Day 4: Tawang Sightseeing
After breakfast, visit Tawang Monastery, the 400yrs old, 6th birth place of Dalai Lama, Local Market, Craft Centre and Ani Gompa (Nanery). Overnight stay at hotel.
Day 5: Tawang To Bomdila
After breakfast, transfer to Bomdila. Enroute visit Jung Water fall. Overnight stay at hotel.
Day 6: Bomdila To Tezpur
After breakfast, transfer to Tezpur. Evening at leisure. Overnight stay at hotel.
Day 7: Departure
Early morning, transfer to Guwahati Airport for onwards destination. Tour Ends.
