Day 1: Arrive Guwahati
Meet and greet upon your arrival by The Cat Holidays representative and transfer to your hotel. Check in and freshen up for local sightseeing of Guwahati. Visit numerous Temples - Maa Kamakhya, Sukreshwar, Umananda, Navagraha, Bashistha Ashram, Tirupathi Balaji and many more. Visit the Second world war Cemetery, State Museum, State Zoo and Srimanta Sankardeva Kalakshetra (A museum of Assam diverse culture) and Science Museum beside the temples. Optional: Boat Cruise at Brahmaputra River in the evening. Overnight at Guwahati.
Day 2: Guwahati To Shillong
Morning transfer to Shillong. The ‘Gleneagles of the East’ lies in the centre of a plateau surrounded by Khasi hills. En-route visit Umiam Lake or Barapani Park. After lunch go for sightseeing. The gorgeous city offers amazing tourist spots. The sightseeing includes Don Bosco Museum of Indigenous Culture, Ward’s Lake is popular for short garden walks and boating, Botanical Garden offers plethora of indigenous and exotic plants and rare collection of orchids, Butterfly Museum is a storehouse of finest and rarest species of butterflies and moths, Lady Hydari Park is a Japanese style landscaped park endowed with stretches of roses and exquisite flowers. The Mini Zoo adjacent to the park has about 73 birds, 140 reptiles & mammals, Golf Course is one of the largest Golf courses in Asia is an 18 hole Golf Course is charted amidst a surging valley full of thick pine groves and rhododendron trees. Spend the evening in the splendid arena, State Museum is a display of the lifestyle and heritage of the people of Meghalaya, Elephant Falls is a mountain stream gorging down two successive falls set in dells of fern covered rocks, Shillong Peak displays a mesmerizing view of the scenic country side. A unique spot of Shillong is Archery Stakes. A gambling sport which is held every day (except Sundays) at 4.00 PM. Overnight in Shillong.
Day 3: Shillong Full Day Sightseeing
Day 4: Shillong To Kaziranga National Park
After breakfast, check out from the hotel to go to Kaziranga National Park, the home of "One Horned Rhinoceros". Arrive Kaziranga and check in at your hotel. Evening free for leisure or explore the local market. Overnight stay in Kaziranga. Optional: Bihu Dance could be organized on request.
Day 5: Kaziranga National Park
Early morning explore any one zone of Kaziranga National Park on back of Elephant i.e. Elephant Safari (Optional: Unless it is mentioned in the inclusion). Get up early morning at 5.30 AM and start for both central range ‘Kohora’ and western range ‘Bagori’. At 6:30 AM return to the hotel or resort for breakfast. After Breakfast take little rest in the resort and hotel. Afternoon around 01.45 PM you have Jeep Safari in Central range. There are also over 500 species of birds. Return back to resort or hotel. Overnight in Kaziranga. Optional: Bihu Dance could be organized on request in the evening. Note: The Park is open during the winter months of the dry season from the beginning of November to the end of April.
Day 6: Kaziranga National Park To Bhalukpong
After breakfast start your journey to the Bhalukpong. Bhalukpong is a small town located along the southern reaches of the Himalayas in West Kameng district of Arunachal Pradesh. Bhalukpong is another picturesque spot for angling and leisurely picnics. Evening at Leisure. There is plenty of nature beauty to explore the area of your own. Overnight at Bhalukpong.
Day 7: Bhalukpong To Dirang
After breakfast you will transfer to another Heaven on Earth location which is Dirang. On the way you will be visiting to Tipi Orchid Sanctuary and Research Centre. About 300 species of orchids can be seen in the flora glass house. Some of them are rare and endangered species. By the side of the glass house there is an orchid museum too. It is an ideal hill resort in West Kameng district with beautiful Apple Nursery, Kiwi Farm, Yak Research Centre, Buddhist Gompa, Hot Water Spring and ancient Dirang Dzong (Fort). It is the base camp for trekking to Gorichen peak and other bird watching trails. Overnight at Dirang.
Day 8: Dirang To Tawang
After breakfast transfer to Tawang. While going to Tawang you will be visiting Jaswant Garh, The war memorial. Visit Sella Pass, The entry point into the Tawang Valley. The glimpse of Paradise Lake in the Sella Pass makes your visit worth. Most of the time the lake is covered with thick blanket of snow. Overnight in Tawang.
Day 9: Tawang Sightseeing
After breakfast, full day Sightseeing of Tawang which includes the Tawang Monastery (Vihar). It is about 400 years old and it is the second largest Buddhist monastery in India. It also holds the distinction of being the birthplace of the 6th Dalai Lama. The monastery is the house of more than 700 monks. The ancient library inside the courtyard has an excellent collection of thangkas, painted with the blood from the nose of 5th Dalai Lama and valuable Buddhist manuscripts mainly Kanjur and Tanjur numbering 850 bundles. Visit Urgelling Monastery and then visit The Craft Centre in Tawang which sells beautiful masks, hand woven carpets, jewellery in silver, coral and amber, ‘chubas’ the local dress and delightful affordable mementos. Then visit Tawang War Memorial. Overnight in Tawang.
Day 10: Tawang To Bomdilla
After breakfast transfer from Tawang to Bomdila. Bomdila is a picturesque town in the foothills of Himalayas and the head quarter of West Kameng District the land of the Monpa, Sherdukpen, Aka (Hrusso), Miji and Bogun (Khawas) tribes. One can see the brilliant landscape and snow-clad Gorichen ranges of the Himalaya on a clear day. With its apple orchards, Buddhist Gomphas and a magnificent view of the Kameng Valley Bomdila can be named as a mini paradise. Bomdila is also an ideal place for nature lovers with several trekking and hiking trails. Visit Bomdila Monastery and the Craft Centre, where very fine wooden carpets of colourful designs and Masks are produced. Bomdila also offers a Bird's eye view of Kangto and Gorichen peaks (highest peaks in the state) amidst the Himalayan landscape and snow clad ranges. Overnight in Bomdila.
Day 11: Bomdilla To Nameri
After breakfast, transfer from Bomdilla to Nameri. Enroute visit Nameri National Park. It is also the core area of Nameri Tiger Reserve. Another important wild life sanctuary of Arunachal Pradesh is The Pakhui (Pakke) wild life Sanctuary adjoins the Park on its North-Eastern point. The river Jia- Bhoroli and its tributaries namely the Diji, Dinai, Doigurung, Nameri, Dikorai and Kharietc crisscross the park. Enjoy rafting in the Jia Bhoroli river in the south western boundary. Overnight at Nameri.
Day 12: Nameri To Guwahati
Before breakfast in the morning you could go for hiking inside the park with a guard to see some beautiful bird and butterflies or after breakfast could have some fun with the white water rafting. Later depart for Guwahati. After arriving visit numerous Temples like Maa Kamakhya Temple, Sukreshwar Temple, Umananda Temple, Navagraha Temple, Bashistha Ashram, Tirupathi Balaji Temple and many more. Visit the Second world war Cemetery, State Museum, State Zoo and Srimanta Sankardeva Kalakshetra (A museum of Assam diverse culture) and Science Museum beside the temples. Overnight at Guwahati.
Day 13: Guwahati Departure
After breakfast, return to Guwahati Airport or Railway station for your departure. Your tour ends here with pleasant memories.
