Day 1: Arrival At Chandigarh - Transfer To Dharamshala

  • Arrival at Chandigarh and proceed for Dharamshala. The high snow clad Dhauladhar ranges form a magnificent backdrop to the hill resort of Dharamshala. This is the principal township of Kangra district and overlooks widespread of the plains. With dense pine and deodar forests, numerous streams, cool healthy air, attractive surroundings and the nearby snowline, Dharamshala has everything for a perfect holiday. It is full of life and yet peaceful.
  • The headquarters of His Holiness the Dalai Lama are at upper Dharamshala. Covering a wide area in the form of twin settlement, lower Dharamshala (1380m) is a busy commercial center. While upper Dharamshala (1830m) with the suburbs of Mcleodganj and Forsytheganj, retains a British flavor and colonial lifestyle. The charming church of St. John in the wilderness is situated here and this is the final resting place of Lord Elgin, a British Viceroy of India during the 19th century. There is also a large Tibetan community who have made this place their home. Numerous ancient temples like Jwalamukhi, Brijeshwari and Chamunda lie on the plains below Dharamshala. Day 2: Full Day Local Sightseeing In Dharamshala

After breakfast today, get ready for a local sightseeing tour of all the major attractions of Dharamshala. Visit and explore Dal Lake, Church, Bhagsu Nag Temple and Tibetan Monastery - all filled with natural beauty. After lunch, we embark on a visit to the famous Tibetan Medical Centre (where various ailments are treated using rare Tibetan medicines, and St. John Church, one of the oldest churches of the region. Some of the other places to visit include Kangra Art Museum, Tea Gardens and Kunal Pathri Temple. Overnight stay at hotel in Dharamshala.

Day 3: Transfers To Khajjiar

After breakfast, check out from hotel & proceed to Khajjiar (130 kms / approx 4 hrs) often called India's Switzerland. Its one of the most scenic saucer shaped Plateau and is surrounded by dense pine and deodar forests. The exquisite glade of Khajjiar (1960m) has a circumference of about 5 km. Along its fringes, thick forests of deodar climb the slopes, the snow-line rests above these woods. On arrival check in at hotel and evening free at leisure. Overnight stay at Hotel.

Day 4: Khajjair Sightseeing

After breakfast today, head out for some local sightseeing in Khajjiar - India's Switzerland. This unmistakably scenic saucer shaped plateau is surrounded by dense pine and thick forests of deodar along the fringes of the exquisite glade of Khajjiar (1085 m). Horse riding and zorbing are two very fun things to do here. When you are out sightseeing, take the time to step in to a temple dedicated to Khajji Nag. Behold snake idols here, as it is a 12th century AD temple dedicated to Naga, the lord of serpents. Within the temple are life size wooden images of the five Pandav brothers. Overnight stay at hotel in Khajjiar.

Day 5: Transfer To Dalhousie

After breakfast, check out from your hotel and prepare for your transfer to Dalhousie via Kalatop Sanctuary. Upon arrival in Dalhousie, check in to your hotel. Overnight stay at hotel in Dalhousie.

Day 6: Local Full Day Sightseeing (Panchpula, Kalatop Wild Life Sanctuary)

After a delicious breakfast today, set out on a local sightseeing tour of Dalhousie. Visit the four beautiful churches in Dalhousie - St. Andrew's Church, St. Patrick's Church, St. Francis Church, and St. John's Church at Gandhi Chowk. Just a kilometer from Gandhi Chowk, visit Subhash Baoli - the enchanting spot surrounded by majestic trees where freedome fighter Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose supposedly spent time in 1937 contemplating and meditating. Head to Panchpula - a picturesque picnic spot where a stream feeds a series of pools. Finally, visit Kalatop Wildlife Sanctuary - home to the 'ghoral' and Himalayan black bear. Overnight stay at your hotel in Dalhousie.

Day 7: Departure From Dalhousie To Chandigarh

After breakfast we checkout from hotel and proceed for Chandigarh by road (around 8 hour journey). On arrival you will be transferred to the airport/railway station to board the flight/Train back to home.
