Day 1: Arrival At Bangalore & Transfer To Wayanad

  • Meet our representative on arrival in Bangalore Airport/Railway stations & proceed to Wayanad.
  • Wayanad is among the top hill stations in Kerala and one of the best weekend getaways from Bangalore. The weather is pleasant throughout the year and it is one of the places with highest rainfall in South India. Upon arrival check in to the hotel & over night stay in Wayanad.

Day 2: Full Day Wayanad Sightseeing With Banasura Sagar Dam

  • After breakfast proceed for full day sightseeing of Wayanad, one of the most celebrated districts of Kerala and an ideal location for eco-tourism in India. Visit Banasura Dam, Pazhassi Raja Tomb, Kuruva Islands & Tholpetty Wild Life Sanctuary.
  • Visit Banasura Sagar Dam, it is reckoned as the largest earth dam in India & the second largest of its kind in Asia. The dam is made up of massive stacks of stones & boulders. The vast expanse of the crystal clear water of the dam dotted with small islands is a photographer’s delight. Enjoy nature walk and speed boat rides (on direct payment basis).
  • Pazhassi Raja Tomb - the memorial of Veera Pazhassi Raja & Pazhassi Raja museum. The museum has a limited display of local artefacts. One item that takes up a lot of attention is the sword of Pazhassi Raja.
  • Kuruva Islands or the Kuruva Dweep is popular among tourists for its calm and serene surroundings. This island is densely populated with rich flora & fauna. Dwelling deep into this island, you can sight attractive bridges made up of bamboo trees & other rare species of trees. An ideal spot for bird watchers. Entry is restricted up to 200 Tourists per day in each entry point.
  • Tholpetty Wild Life Sanctuary - is a part of the UNESCO’s Nilgiri Biosphere Reserve. Open to wildlife jeep safari twice a day (7am to 10am & 2pm to 5pm), you are bound to spot various animals like elephant herds, deers, big cats, panthers, tigers, langurs, bonnet macaques, bison, sambar deer, malabar squirrels, bears, the rare Slender Loris and bird species in their natural habitat during the 1.5-2 hour journey. Plantations of teak, eucalyptus, silver oak and rosewood cover about one third of the sanctuary.
  • Evening return back to hotel and relax. Overnight stay at Wayanad.

Day 3: Full Day Wayanad Sightseeing With Edakal Caves

  • After breakfast, proceed for full day sightseeing tour of Wayanad covering Muthanga Wildlife Sanctuary, Edakkal Caves, Soochippara Water Falls & Pookot Lake.
  • Visit the Muthanga Wildlife Sanctuary spread over an area of 345 sq km, an abode of rich flora & fauna. Muthanga is blessed with varieties of trees & other plants. You can also sight Maruthi, Karimaruthi, Rosewood, Venteak, Vengal etc. The sanctuary is also blessed with its endless population of birds like Babblers, Jungle fowls & wild animals.
  • Visit Edakkal Caves which literally means a stone in between. The caves are famous for its pictorial paintings (cave paintings) which are considered to be of 6000 BC. You can sight carvings of human, animal figures & objects used by humans, on the walls of the caves. These carvings give great evidence for a highly civilised society who lived in the pre-historic age. Edakkal caves have drawn great attention of archeologists & historians worldwide.
  • The Phantom Rock is a beautiful archeological site known for its skull shaped rock, which is unique in its own way. This piece of natural art which has a skull shaped rock over a small boulder is formed out of huge metamorphic rocks.
  • Ambalavayal Heritage Museum. The museum has the largest collections of the remnants of an era dating back to the 2nd Century. These are evidences of an advanced civilization that existed in the mountains of Wayanad.
  • Return to hotel in the evening. Overnight stay at Wayanad hotel.

Day 4: Departure From Wayanad To Bangalore

Morning breakfast, checkout at 10.00Hrs and proceed to Bangalore. Tour ends.
