Alfama Quarter

This procession in honour of Saint Anthony takes place on the 13th of June every year in conjunction with several other processions in Lisbon. Thousands of locals take part in this parade, some in costume or carrying religious icons as a sign of their devotion. Followers pay homage to this very popular Saint by taking part in this day. The parade starts at noon and winds its way around the Alfama district.
