About

Anjaneya (Hanuman) Swamy Temple has a sanctum, where the deity is placed as if engraved on a cavern. Located at the Gopuram Road, the temple can be entered by an entrance-way marked by a Siva Lingam, which was brought by Sathya Sai Baba from Kasim. At the foot of the deity lies a pool of water, which depicts Hanuman's devotion to his master Lord Ram.

Popular belief of the region states that the pool of water is the representation of Hanuman's tears. Folklore legend states that Sathya Sai Baba was stopped by the deity, while he was about to perform circumambulation at the temple. This was done by saying that it is the deity who is to pay reverence and respect. Image in the temple depicts carving of Hanuman that appears to be standing inside a cave.
