Anshi National Park is located at a distance of 60 km from Karwar in Uttara Kannada district. Anshi National Park is spread about 340 sq km and adjoins the Dandeli wildlife sanctuary.

The forest in the area was declared the Dandeli wildlife sanctuary on 10 May 1956. A section of Dandeli wildlife sanctuary was carved out to form the Anshi National Park. Anshi National Park has been granted the status of Project Tiger sanctuaries in January 2007.

Anshi National Park is rich in flora and fauna. Trees and plants that can be found here are Bamboo, Teak, Eucalyptus, Lantana, Silver Oak, Bauhinia and Xylia xylocarpa.

Anshi National Park provides shelter to the variety of Bonnet Macaque, Malabar Civet, Malabar giant squirrel, deer, Indian bison, pangolin and sloth bear. The Park is a habitat of melanistic leopard, tigers and elephants, among other wildlife.
