The Gaiety Theatre in Ayr is a 584 seat venue. Originally built in 1902; it was rebuilt to its present form in 1955 after a fire destroyed the original building. Prior to its closure three years ago the Gaiety was the premier theatre in South West Scotland and the largest performing arts venue between Glasgow and England, presenting over 220 performances a year to an audience of just over 80,000.
