This is a dam built over the river Ganga. It lies by the mountains and the forest. It is a scenically beautiful place. This is the only bridge through which vehicles can cross over to the other bank of Rishikesh. The road further bifercates into two- one road goes right up to Chilla and Haridwar and the other road goes to Ram Jhula, Lakshman Jhula and Neelkanth Temple. There is a canal from this dam which leads to Chilla Hydro Electric Power House where electricity is produced. The road along the canal is very romantic. One can spot animals like Sambhar, Elephants, Leopards(rarely), Baboons and birds like Peacock, Ducks, Kingfisher,etc....
