Bukit Jawi Golf Resort, about a 45 minutes drive from Penang International Airport, is set in a lush tropical landscape. Built on a former hilly oil palm plantation, Bukit Jawi Golf Resort is a 36-hole international championship golf course with lush palm trees and large bodies of contoured lakes. The Hill Course and Lake Course offer golfers of varying handicaps a challenging and rewarding experience through its carefully landscaped greens and strategically placed hazards. The fairways and tee boxes are covered with Zoysia Matrella and the greens are lined with Bermuda Tifdwarf. The 6,385 metres Hill Course is an 18-hole par-72 championship course. The course undulating fairways, coupled with lines of palm trees and tricky greens presents a challenge to every aspect of the golfer game from stroke accuracy and distance to course management. As its name suggests, the Lake Course features more water hazards and sand bunkers. The signature 15th island green is surrounded by water and guarded by bunkers at the most strategic place. This course puts a premium on the golfer's accuracy and short game. In the 2008-2010 Golf Malaysia Course Poll, Bukit Jawi Golf Resort was voted as one of the Top 20 golf courses in Malaysia.
