The Burmese Buddhist Temple, a holy destination located in the sacred city of Sarnath near Varanasi in the state of Uttar Pradesh, is a noted Buddhist centre in India. Established in 1910, the Burmese Buddhist temple follows the ancient Buddhist tradition Theravada. A Buddha idol made of white marble & flanked by his two disciples is installed in the sanctum of the temple.
