The region is remoteless and its surroundings are calm and peaceful.Common route followed by the tourists is through kel. there is a road from Kel to Shounter Valley.Chitta in local language means "White" and "Katha" means "water reservoir ". To reach the lake you have to cross to nalah's one is Shounter nallah(Stream) ( you cross it via a hanging wooden bridge , after that you come across Chitta Katha Nalah(Stream) and Chamar Fall and finally reach Chitta Katha Lake .
