The course consists of 18 holes designed by the 5 times Open Champion James Braid. It has a par of 70 with a length of about 6,350 yards. There is no doubt it is one of the best Essex courses, situated just North of the town and off the A12. Its fast running fairways lined with mature trees provide a wonderful test of golf.
