The Confectionery Colombo is located in the historic center of the city of Rio de Janeiro, in Brazil , one of the main points tourist of the Central Region of the city. Recently, Confectionery Columbus was elected as one of the 10 finest coffees in the world. Its architecture and atmosphere allow to have an idea of how it would have been the Belle Époque in the capital of the Republic. Between 1912 and 1918 the halls inside the bakery were renovated with a touch Art Nouveau, with huge crystal mirrors brought from Antwerp , framed by elegant friezes carved wooden rosewood. In 1922 its facilities were expanded with the construction of a second floor with a tearoom. An opening in the ceiling of the ground floor lets you see the skylight of the tea room, decorated with beautiful stained glass windows .
