The recently updated East Beach picnic area is the perfect place to enjoy an amazing view of San Francisco Bay, Alcatraz Island, and the Golden Gate Bridge. Located at Crissy Field near the Marina Gate, East Beach features picnic tables, barbeque pits, and restrooms. Those who don't feel like packing a picnic can stop by the Beach Hut Café inside Crissy Field Center for a sandwich or cold beverage. While the afternoon winds can make this a blustery spot, visitors are treated to a view of the nearby kite surfers casting off from the shore.
