The golf course Estoril exists since 1929 in its first version nine holes and was built by Fausto Figueiredo, the concession holder game at Casino Estoril. Its first architect was Jean Gassiat and 18-hole course that followed was designed in 1945 by Mackenzie Ross, one of the best architects of golf courses around the world.
