First Baptist Church, Chandigarh, was founded in 1980 by our Senior Pastor. Pastor Nazir Masih has an amazing life story, with his journey to faith in Christ beginning while he was a young child. It started when an unknown visitor gave his uneducated father a copy of the Gospel of Luke. And the final catalyst to his current ministry was an opportunity he embraced in his twenties to work as a translator for Dr. John Wardle from Florida. Dr. Wardle encouraged Nazir to follow a calling from God to give his life to full-time work of preaching and teaching the Christian faith.
