Gauri Kund and Surya Kund lie on either side of an iron bridge located half a kilometre ahead of the Gangotri Temple. Surya Kund is known for the Surya Kund waterfalls.Surya Kund is one of the main attractions at Gangotri. There is a Shivalinga, near to Gangotri temple, which is submerged in river. It is also known as submerged Shiving. Half a kilometer ahead on the left side while going back from main temple there is an iron bridge to cross where one side of it is Gauri Kund & other side is Surya Kund. One can view beautiful Surya Kund Waterfalls at this place. The waterfall with vibrant sounds at Surya Kund is a spectacular sight with two main falls where one can have a wonderful breathtaking experience.
