About

The  Glynn Vivian Art Gallery  is now closed to the public as preparations are underway for a multi-million pound redevelopment project.

However offsite events & exhibitions are taking place.

A broad spectrum of visual arts from the original bequest of Richard Glynn Vivian (1835-1910) which includes work by Old Masters as well as an international collection of porcelain and Swansea china. The 20th Century is also well represented with modern painting and sculpture by Hepworth, Nicholson, Nash alongside Welsh artists such as Ceri Richards, Gwen John and Augustus John. These are housed in the handsome classic Italian-style gallery building, and complement the exhibitions in the modern wing, which brings the work of today's artists alive with its sharp, contemporary overview of the arts. The Glynn Vivian Art Gallery gratefully acknowledges the financial support of the Arts Council of Wales. The Gallerys outdoor sculpture court offers ramped access to the ground floor, where toilet facilities have been adapted for wheelchair users.
