The Gold Museum is Ballarat's regional museum and part of the Sovereign Hill experience.This website serves to highlight the significant and varied collections held in the museum and presented at Sovereign Hill itself. The Gold Museum has a very active temporary exhibition program which includes five to ten new exhibitions every year. The museum has specialised in community based exhibitions working with groups such as Royal South Street Society, Ballarat Craft Council and many other groups.
