In the southeast of Castrop-Rauxel is nestled in a landscape of rolling meadow valleys, the Frohlinder golf course. 
Yet the place has next to scenic beauty also sports a high priority. In May 2004, the wells were 19 to 27 opened, so that the club can now offer three different 18-hole rounds. An 18-hole round (A + C-Square) was unrated by the German Golf Association for the rear men's tee with a slope of 134 in CR value 73.2 and is thus for every golfer a sporting challenge.
