About Hiroshima

Hiroshima is the biggest city in the Chugoku district of Honshu Island. Honshu is also the biggest island of Japan. Mazda and Japan Steel Works are two major movers in Hiroshima City. Hiroshima's port and international airport are both responsible for its being the center of industry in the Chugoku region. A visit to Hiroshima should be in your itinerary on your visit to Japan. The classical music aficionado will enjoy an evening with the city's symphony orchestra at the Wel City Hiroshima. There are many daytime activities to do such as get inspired by the artworks of the many museums, or enjoy a stroll in the gardens of the many parks of the city. You could also visit the historical sites that advances global efforts for peace. Just as Philadelphia is known for its cheese steak sandwich so is Hiroshima famous for its Okonomiyaki, a dish that uses cabbage instead of bread to layer the ingredients such as seafood, mayonnaise, cheese and eggs.
