Holloways Beach

Holloways Beach is a beach suburb 12 minutes drive north of the centre of Cairns City, Queensland, Australia. The population is about 3,000. It has a lifeguard for much of the year. There are several restaurants including Holloways Pizza and Bamboo Shack. There is no pub, however, there is a sports club. There is a newsagent, convenience store, launderette and video shop. Cairns Beach Resort has affordable accommodation and is opposite the beach.Cairns is the regional capital of Far North Queensland and has a modern International Airport serving the Pacific and Asian regions as well as a direct large domestic network. Holloways Beach is positioned only a short distance north from Cairns International Airport providing easy access for travellers.
