Kondakarla Bird Sanctuary is a bird sanctuary at 40 kms from Vishakhapatnam having a rich variety of bird species. The area is recommended for Bird watchers in Winter.The place is scenic with beautiful clean lake, surrounded by the Eastern Ghats and green Palmyra trees. The local villagers also offer boat rides on the lake with a small fare. These hollow boats are interestingly carved out of Palmyra trees.
