The  Lakkavalli dam  is located near  Lakkavalli  village in  Tarikere  Taluk,  Chikmagalur district .
As a part of Bhadra River Project a tremendous dam built across the River Bhadra. This dam is known as Lakkavalli dam for the reason that this dam is located very near Lakkavalli village.  The dam is scenic with full of water throughout the year. Like any other Dam site, there are many forested islands with the hill ranges forming wonderful surroundings.
