Lord Elgin's Memorial or St. John's in Wilderness Church as it's more charmingly called is built in the Gothic style and goes perfectly with the Deodar trees that surround it. This pretty little structure has tall tapering windows with stained glass paintings that depict the meeting of John the Baptist with Jesus. The small compound surrounding the church also houses a memorial to Lord Elgin, the eighth Viceroy of India.
