Today, the Naranzaria continues its commercial vocation. From Mondays to Saturdays there are the fruit, vegetable and fish markets which are frequented by Venetians and visited (timidly) by tourists. Naranzaria makes good use of these adjacent markets, preparing exquisite dishes from the freshest fish and vegetables.
Being located next to the fish market means that the fish at Naranzaria is always fresh: tuna and salmon, prawn and white fish, raw prawns with spicy seaweed. Try the Mediterranean interpretations of the chef, Akira, such as tuna, mozzarella and tomato sushi. Another favourite is the hand-carved raw meat from Piedmont served with rocket and a side dish of fennel, taggiasca olives and oranges.
