Nutmegs is an elegant, mid-range choice for dining in increasingly expensive Seminyak that features classical decor. Its menu, however, is a modern take on Asian-fusion cuisine, which is prepared and presented with imagination. It is designed in exuberant primary colors and boasts a large cocktail bar and lounge. The menu features a good selection of Balinese dishes, Vietnamese stir-fries, grilled seafood and sushi. There are starters of Thai fish cakes, tandoori buffalo wings and spicy butterfly prawns, to name just a few. The wine list is good value with old- and new-world whites by the glass or bottle, and there is plenty of choice for lovers of fruity cocktails.
