Oriental Yum Cha Restaurant opened in Fortitude Valley this week, bringing the Chinese royalty and yum cha fanatics of Brisbane out to play, queuing up from lunch to dinner to sample the new menu. Set in the HQ building where Siana used to call home, Oriental is a split-level restaurant serving yum cha and a la carte offerings.
Seafood, meats and vegetarian fillings come wrapped in twist-topped dumpling parcels, while the a la carte menu offers up the likes of Malacca Coconut Chicken, Peking Duck Pancakes, Mongolian Lamb and Singapore Chilli Prawns.
