Samstemling Gompa is another popular Buddhist religious site located at the Sumur Village. The monastery lies in between Kyagar and Sumur villages and is situated 1 km uphill from Sumur. The gompa is popuklar for its collection Buddhist idols, frescos and tangkhas (Buddhist scrolls). Samtanling's Gompa encompasses seven temples, which were inaugurated by the Dalai-Lama in 1962.
