Known for its excellent Gulab jamun ki sabzi, this restaurant is located near the Jalori Gate, in the Jalori Gate Bari. Gulab Jamun is a popular North-Indian sweet dish, essentially a sweetened ball of reduced milk solids (Khoya or Mawa) which is deep fried and dipped in a sugar syrup before serving. However, this recipe calls for a bit of a twist where the raw balls are lightly fried in ghee and dropped in a rich and spicy cashew gravy. This is quite a heavy dish because of the ingredients involved, but all the more heavenly because of that. Do try this popular favourite before you head back home. Kabuli is another popular dish served here. The restaurant is a favourite among the locals as the prices are quite reasonable.
