Singalila National Park is a national park of India located on the Singalila Ridge at an altitude of more than 7000 feet above sea level in Darjeeling. It is well known for the trekking route to Sandakphu that runs through it. The park has a number of small mammals including the Red Panda, Leopard Cat, Barking Deer, Yellow-throated Marten, Wild Boar, Pangolin and the Pika. Thick bamboo, oak, magnolia and rhododendron forest between 2000 and 3600 m cover the Singalila Ridge. The park is a camper's delight as it is largely free of vicious animals and snakes, making it the most popular family camping destination in the eastern Himalaya. The two seasons to visit the park are in Spring (March-May) and post Monsoon (mid-September to early December).
