The Solar House is located on Calle Duque de Caxias, 968, downtown Porto Alegre. The start of construction date of 1818, by reason of serving as the residence of the head of Customs Rio Grande do Sul and Santa Catarina at the time, José Feliciano Fernandes Pinheiro. The process of its construction took until 1824. Thus, it is the oldest residential building in the state capital.
