About

These prominent buildings were commissioned in 1856 by Cardigan Borough Council, and built in what is now recognised as Ruskinian Gothic Style. The buildings were well used up until the mid 1970's when the requirements for Public Buildings began to change leaving the Guildhall requiring a major facelift. Now lovingly restored: made possible by numerous local volunteers, Menter Aberteifi, Cardigan Building Preservation Trust and funding from various sources. The restoration of this magnificent building has delivered back the Guildhall as a civic and public centre enhancing the area's rich cultural heritage.
