Close to Siliguri, in the town of Matigara, is the Science City. Also known as the North Bengal Science Centre, the complex comprises of the Nature Interpretation Centre, the Science Museum and the Planetarium. The Science Museum has on display a large collection of scientific equipments and also exhibits the process of many scientific experiments. The Nature Interpretation Centre, while exhibiting the fauna and flora of the region, is also a knowledge base to understand the natural diversity of the area. The Planetarium has regular shows on astronomy, which are worth attending. The Science City is one of the popular places for educational tours in the area. A must visit indeed.
